The Color Reader BC-10 PLUS is a unique handheld colorimeter for fast and easy measurement the backing contrast of all kind of bakery products including breads, buns, cookies and other food products to control the baking process in the production line.
Very easy to use and battery powered, the BC-10 delivers a single baking contrast unit (BCU) or classic L*a*b* colour values displayed on the LCD screen.
Despite the simple operation, the BC-10 PLUS is a true colorimeter in full compliance with CIE, ISO and DIN standards as one can expect from Konica Minolta.

Objective colour control of baked products
With the BC-10 PLUS, one can monitor and control the colour of backed, fried, smoked and processed foods as well as ingredients in various environments to ensure consistency in appearance. It is the ideal solution for multi-plant, multi-lined companies, co-packers and restaurant chains that seek enhanced consistency and quality of their products’ appearance.
Besides the crust colour, the BC-10 PLUS measures colour on all kind of bakery and snack food products, yeast, brown sugar, calcium propionate, and flour blending.
The BC-10 PLUS is very simple to use, compact and light-weight, battery-operated and can display the measured values in Baking Contrast Units (BCU), a standard grading scale in the baking industry, or classic CIELab colour values.
The illumination by Xenon lamp assures repeatable and correct colour measurements, while data can be stored internally and transferred to a PC using the USB connection, or printed out using an external printer.
